How Does it Work?

The Charm Field Incubator reads all ROSA tests. These lateral flow tests provide rapid and accurate screening of milk residues.

• The Charm MRL beta-lactam test provides fast and accurate milk residue screening, using the test strips and Field Incubator.

• Charm II tests use a binding reagent that has specific receptor sites. If there are any drug traces in the sample, these will compete with an exempt amount of labelled tracer for the binding receptor sites. By comparing the amount of tracer binding to the receptor sites with a previously determined control point, the incubator tells you the amount of drug concentration in the sample.

• The range of Charm II tests enables testing for aminoglycosides, amphenicols, beta-lactams and macrolides in milk and other dairy samples.

• Using the Charm Field Incubator, you can also run broad-spectrum microbial inhibition tests to detect antibiotic residues. You simply add the relevant sample and incubate.
