Why Choose the Lactoscan SP?
It’s user-friendly, simple to operate, maintain, install and calibrate
The design of the Lactoscan SP is portable and compact, and ideal for on-farm use
It only requires a small sample of milk or liquid dairy product to produce fast, accurate analysis
How it Works
The Lactoscan SP uses ultrasonic technology to analyse milk and liquid dairy samples. It passes signals through the sample, which it then measures digitally.
Transmitting low power ultrasound waves through a sample substance will cause the molecules within it to react. The Lactoscan SP device reads certain parameters based on the wave readings it then gets back.
The parameters the device measures include fat, solids, density, protein, lactose and many more.
This ultrasonic method of milk and liquid dairy testing has certain advantages over infrared testing methods.
It requires no periodic calibration, and does not depend on the acidity of the sample to give accurate readings.
Ultrasonic testing is also both simpler and more comprehensive than traditional chemical fast testing methods, and much faster.
The Lactoscan SP is a low-cost, low-maintenance device, suitable for use on dairy farms as well as dairy businesses, collection centres and labs.
Fast and Accurate Milk Analysis
You don’t have to rely on the lab for high-speed, precise milk analysis. The Lactoscan SP is the perfect solution for on-farm testing.
It will test a wide range of milk and liquid dairy products, including both full-fat and skimmed milk, as well as whey, cream and ice cream.
The results are clear and easy to interpret.
