NEW - GrainSense at LAMMA 2019

Calibre are proud to announce that we will be showcasing the new GrainSense analyser at LAMMA 2019. GrainSense has been developed after close collaboration with farmers to provide a hand-held device for grain protein measurement.

The GrainSense hand-held device measures protein, moisture and oil content of cereals and crops. The device is battery powered, the measurement time is just a few seconds, and it requires only a few grains to give an accurate result. The hand-held device comes with a mobile application with a GPS function allowing the measurement of key parameters to be given to help users make quick decisions that can significantly improve their productivity and profitability. 

 

Unique features include:

  • It takes just 30 seconds to make a measurement, including sample loading and the samples do not need to be ground.

  • Anyone can use GrainSense without the need for specialist training

  • Lowest cost on-farm protein analyser on the market 

  • Truly portable, ideal for use in field conditions

 

For the first time, farmers, seed producers and plant breeders will be able to instantly and rapidly measure the key parameters of their crops in the field and make decisions that can improve profitability. The device can store results which can be downloaded and used to assess later on.
